I first saw them once downtown. I'm not sure what they were picketing, but I remember seeing their horrible signs about Matthew Shepard being in hell after he was viciously murdered because he was gay.
I saw them again in a southern Indiana town, again, not sure what brought them out there, but their vile signs make me want to throw something out of my car at them.
The sad part is that many people think these horrible people are actually Christian.
My Bible teaches me that I am not to judge. I don't have to agree with people's lifestyle or their beliefs to continue to love them. I can still believe in sin, but I wasn't nailed on the cross for someone else's sin, so who am I to judge that someone else's sin is worse than my own?
But I have to believe there is a very special place in hell for the idiots that protest at soldiers' funerals with the hateful signs and protests.
Today, both sides were presented to the Supreme Court. I fully support the soldier's father who brought the lawsuit but.......
Free speech applies to all, right?
That soldier fought for his country and that includes defending everyone's right to free speech, no matter how vile.

I don't believe either of them believed that the freedom of speech meant only speech that didn't offend me tremendously.
Let me make it clear, I DO NOT SUPPORT the idiots at this so called "church", but if we limit their speech because it offends me, when is my speech going to be limited because it offends someone?
They say the Supreme Court's decision will probably come down sometime early next year. I will be waiting their outcome, but I do not know how this soldier's poor father can or should win this one.
I DO believe that the Westboro idiots will find they will be the ones burning in hell long before Matthew Shepard or any of our brave soldiers.
