The local farmers market had Ambrosia sweet corn this morning.
Oh how I've missed you Ambrosia.
The beans and taters are pert nigh done.
Gonna slice some Indiana maters.
The new potatoes to the left have been boiled, now I'll peel them and fry those little round suckers in some lard until the outsides get slightly crispy and brown and the insides will invariable burn the roof of your mouth.
The dinner rolls are raising.
Wood chips are soaking to give the BBQ chicken that wonderful smoky flavor.
I would show you the chicken but nobody likes to see raw chicken.
Having our good friends over for dinner. Yes, this is too much food but this stuff only lasts a few short weeks each year.
And even better yet?
This is my third post in three straight days. ;-)

That is my kinda meal. My mouth is watering and I just finished off some roast beef, taters, onions, carrots from the crock pot. But I could eat a mess of your stuff, too.
Looks good. Lucky guests.
what time should I be there?
Mmmm...any leftovers?
Come on over folks.
Only leftover green beans.
I didn't grill a lot of chicken since we had so many fresh veggies.
So, as I was taking the chicken off the grill, the biggest and best looking piece forgot it was not a wing and that it was dead and decided to take flight just as soon as it hit the plate.
It flew about two feet before gravity took its force and slammed it into the grass for a not so perfect landing.
For a micro second I considered picking it up, putting it back on the grill and serving it. ;-). Just kidding.
But I did tell one of the guests I thought about putting it on his plate withit telling him.
Yeah, I'm that kind of hostess.
