It Was Almost as if They Were ORGANIZED

Maybe because too many of my offline and online friends are dealing with losses in their families this holiday I feel the need to try to find some things that help to make me smile.

I hope this video gives you something to smile about too.  I loved this show, but it was one of those that was frozen in time, so doesn't translate well as reruns.  Hotair.com reminded me of this episode tonight.  It was just CLASSIC.

If you need a good smile, watch it all the way through the end, especially when Les Nesman delivers the line that made me think of the OWS crowd.  "It was almost as if they were.......ORGANIZED."

And then Carlson delivers the infamous line, "As God as my witness, I thought turkeys could fly."

I loved that show, i always though Bailey was the hottest little thing, much hotter than that creepy blond chick

Bailey was definitely hot. Much cuter than Loni Anderson. But I always thought you were a boob man. Can't imagine you liked Bailey better.

My perfect man was a cross between Andy and Dr. Johnny Fever. Which is kinda weird.

WAIT, what am I saying, Bob is EXACTLY the combination of those two characters.

Oh poop. As god is my witness, I was hoping the video would play, but in my mind I will always remember that particular episode.

I loved WKRP. This is the third blog on which I've seen it featured.

I remember watching that episode and looking at my mom. She was raised a farm girl and just shook her head and said, "No! They can't fly." Then I laughed at the dumb ass.

I would never thought you were a city slicker Coffey. Bet you plucked a chicken after it quit hopping around the driveway because your dad had pulled the head off between two boards.

Ahhh, the beauty of being raised in rural America. And here my friend over at Geez thought I wasn't a hick.

Rita, Loni Anderson has the worst boob job ever, she has square cleavage. Bailey was cute as hell and sexy!

Wait.
Turkeys CAN'T FLY?
Then how do they get twenty feet up in the trees in my back yard to to roost at night?
I'll have to check 'em more closely. If they're CLIMBING up there, they must have opposable thumbs!

Believe me, (wild) turkeys CAN fly.

Yes, GB, wild turkeys can fly short distances and they are incredibly smart.

Domestic turkeys, however, do not fly and they are dumber than the proverbial box of rocks.

And, again, Rita, thanks for the laugh. That is one of the funniest things I've ever seen on TV...

That was a great show, Rita! Wish I could have seen the video.

And I'm with Greybeard - we have turkeys in our backyard and the woods beyond, and I've seen them up in the trees, as well. They're not very graceful - in fact, they sound like they're hitting every limb in sight when they leave their roosts - but they can definitely fly short distances.

And cj - is a box of rocks dumber than a sack of hammers? Just wondering...

Rita-

I don't have to watch it. I have an incredible visual/video memory, and I happened to have stumbled upon this episode in reruns. I recall those last lines perfectly, as well as the visuals....hysterical!

I thought I remembered the episode pretty well, but I had completely forgotten Nesman's line about the turkey's being organized. After seeing this, I think that line was actually a lot more funny than the, "I thought turkeys could fly".

It is, and I thought so at the time.....
