I Am Shocked

SHOCKED, I tell you.

That all my male readers never made even ONE suggestive comment about sucking the gravy off Giada's pinky.

I would have bet $100 every single one of them would have.

Well, except for Jeff, he never gets out of line (at least online). ;)

Not asking for any suggestive comments on this post now, but I would still bet $100 that they all THOUGHT it, just never wrote it.

that's funny!
Rita, I appreciate your having explained the moment even more in your comment to me below......as I said there, I like that she didn't do it in a trashy way and even found herself surprised at the implication!
very cute :-)

Sexual attraction is a natural and wonderful thing about being human. We can acknowledge it but also control it...we aren't rutting animals, after all. Those women who want to file charges when someone compliments the way she looks...need some help. Not saying real harassment should be excused. But geez...flirting is fun

If she would have sucked the gravy off of his finger, that would have provoked me to comment,

Yeah CnC, tell me you didn't try to find the video.

ON THE OTHER HAND....lol....I was just thinking.....if a girlfriend of mine would offer my husband a taste of gravy from her pinky....I'd be fine with it.

If he would actually accept it....now we're talking about harassment.....I'd harass him to the grave. lol

"Yeah CnC, tell me you didn't try to find the video." Hilarious!

You know, I lost my dear hubby 2 years ago, but I'm not QUITE so sure I'd have loved it if a girlfriend of mine told him to lick gravy off HER finger! And I wasn't the jealous type (i don't THINK!! :-) But, whatever!

And Mrs. Who's right...flirting is a good thing, but I don't love pretty darned suggestive stuff like that Giada/Al thing seems to have become, as innocent as Giada'd meant it, you know? I mean, let's face it, we all know Al's mind wasn't on his FINGER! (sorry, but....... :-)

Dana, I have a couple really close friends AND CnC's wife that would pull that stunt in a heartbeat with Bob. I'm used to the flirting. It's all harmless.

A few years back we were at a wedding reception with some friends and one of the women started really coming on to Bob. I leaned over to another friend's husband and whispered, "WATCH, Jean's coming on to Bob." I realized it before Bob did. It was quite entertaining to see Mr. Flirtman suddenly realize some one was taking him seriously. He squirmed and squirmed and tried to pull away as she drunkedly wanted him to get out on the dance floor. He finally called for help from the father of the bride. He literally pushed the woman into the FofTB's arms and we all watched her try to dirty dance with the poor guy.

It didn't cure him of flirting, but he pays more attention if the woman is taking him seriously.

It is just not correct behavior.

The problem is a lack of common sense and extremism.

Is a bunch of guys talking about car parts and oil changes really creating an attmosphere that excludes
women?

If a Bible is used to swear people in at court what is the big deal if it is on a book shelf. More amusingly why is Moby Dick deemed so offensive that an applicant wants it relegated to a file cabinet?

Abe Lincoln's image is on currency
and there is no reason his image or any other President dead more than a century should not be displayed in an office. There is something wrong when a law bans a picture of Lincoln and permits Sponge Bob.

90% of this can be handled with common sense. Ok you don't like Moby Dick or Lincoln well don't read the book and hang another picture in your office.

Exactly Beak. But common sense will never prevail when there are people that want to take advantage of the system. Our culture has become so lawsuit happy and there are too many scum lawyers that do not care whether the claim is valid, only that they get a little piece of the action (so to speak).

I've actually been fortunate enough to work in places that don't worry so much about pc as long as HR isn't within ear shot.

I thought it...
But controlled my mouth/keyboard.
Any man who hasn't watched Giada or Nigella Lawson just to see art being produced by a beauty isn't worth his XY chromosomes.
(I've even watched with the sound off.)

What's funny about your comment GB is that last night CnC said he didn't know who Giada was and he didn't see her picture on my post, only Al Roker's. So, I'll make sure he knows that according to the great Greybeard, he has to turn in his man-card.
