Boys vs Girls

I'm always amazed at the difference between boys and girls.

Our grandson turned 7 today. Yesterday they had his party at one of those "Bounce" places. This was the first year that he asked friends to be at a party. Normally it's a big enough event with just family.

There were probably about 20 kids that attended. Maybe 5 of those were girls, including our granddaughter, who's a rough and tumble 2 1/2 year old.

The mass of squiggly, punching, throwing, jumping boys was something to behold, and give you a migraine. We delighted in watching our grandson play with his friends, but I had to bite my lip as I watched the ever moving wormlike jumble of boys throw each other down, jump all in a pile and look like someone was going to break an arm.

How anyone ever thinks the difference in boys and girls is not inbred in them is beyond me. None of the little girls were of a prissy type, they enjoyed playing too, but they were quieter and not nearly as physical.

At the birthday cake table, the boys immediately proceeded to make fun of each other. "Jacob loves Dora." , "Kyle loves Barney" And the best, "Hey mom, Jason poops the alphabet."

Ah yes, viva la difference. And I do remember a time when our grandson loved watching Dora, thankfully he was never a Barney fan.

Ha.
Can Jason poop me a "B"?
I'd love to see that.
