It sounds good, so it can't be true. But let me know how it is.

I think Chris Hansen did a piece on a guy that fell for that. They shipped products that had been paid for with stolen credit cards, then he boxed them up and sent them to the scammers.

He was "engaged" to the beautiful woman online who was in face a crime organization in Nigeria.

Do you have to travel?

There was a guy on the new here who was arrested for the same thing. We must wait to see if he is really prosecuted or not.

I say, take the job, open the package, then sell the contents on the street corner after dark.

I saw that report, cant believe people fall for that crap. Barnum was right, "There's a sucker born every minute"

Well they must have sent a few of these emails out at the same time. Got several hits today from people googling the company name. HELLO? Is it that difficult to see what a scam this is?

I just received the email from this company. I asked for "information on the company so I could verify w/ local, state, and federal laws so that I could be compliant and legal." Wonder if they'll respond or drop my email. I'm hoping for the second option.

I have been in the market for another part-time job and wanted this email to be true so bad. Could be a reason people fall for it so frequently.

Anons. There is no magic job out there. If it sounds fishy it IS fishy.

I received this email today ass Erroll. I asked them for information on the company and job. They still haven't b respond. I'm not falling for this. Jobs usually call you and don't rely on emails all the time.

Yeah Melissa. I could sense it by the second sentence or so.

If you haven't already done so, post your resume on linkedin.com. That has been very effective on getting REAL job opportunities by networking people that you already might know.

This was an obvious scam. I've only gotten a couple sales type scams from linkedin and I've been on there over 10 years.

It's a great networking site.

Good Luck.

Then the job requirements should sound familiar, Anita. I could almost hear Hanson's voice as I read the email.

I received this very same one myself today. Back in June I had been responding to many jobs online when I received a job offer to remail overseas. Being that I once lived overseas I knew there were such business's that did this very same thing. I did my research, there was a web site with info, a NY number that I faxed info too and someone I actually talked to. It all seemed legit until I started getting address change notifications from Wells Fargo from dozens of people. I was bombarded with packages coming in. As soon as the address change info came in, I notified the police to possible fraud. They didn't do anything nor did they have any answers. Even told the cop of my suspicions. Wen more came in I tried contacting the officer and he wouldn't een return my calls. Turned in all the info to Wells Fargo. Started calling locations for all these packages and not a one ever sent p/u slips. All this stuff is simply sitting in my garage. Including four cases of hardwood flooring that Home Depot kept telling me they were sending a carrier to pick these up.
