Top Three Worst Movies Ever - Updated

The number one spot is:

After spending three hours of my life that I will never get back, Nicole Kidman uttered a line I won't repeat that literally caused everyone in the theatre to let out a very audible groan.

Second is:

Geez, for some reason it's another Tom Cruise movie.  I may think he's a freak, but there are few good movies he made, these are not among them.   Of course Top Gun rates up there as one of the good ones as does A Few Good Men, but that may be because of Jack Nicholson.

Third has a great actress and a horrible one.

I wonder who in their right mind advised Meryl Streep to appear with Rosanne.

And on the other hand, the hands-down winner of the best movie of all time is:

I LOVE Morgan Freeman in nearly everything he does.

My assessment is not up for debate.

OK, that doesn't mean you shouldn't post your comments.   That just means that you will be wrong and I will be right.  Kinda like every other day of the week.

Update:

Oh wait, I have to put another movie in 2nd place.  I complete forgot about this one.

I went to watch it with a friend of mine and remember telling her at the end if I had wanted to listen to a bunch of screaming female teenages for two hours I could have just stayed home.  Bad bad movie.  Has Angelina ever made a good one?

Your Highness, I could not possibly agree with you more.

I guess I was wrong. Well, I mean where I said "you would be wrong and I would be right."

This time we're both right.

Absolutely, your Majesty...
Unless one of us is lyin' like Bozama.

You don't have to call me your Majesty. I'm good with just a simple "Princess" thank you very much.

Totally agree on Eyes Wide Shut - I kept thinking I must have missed something, 'cuz I just didn't get it. But by about halfway through it I figured out that I didn't miss anything, it was just a really dumb movie.

There are worse movies than Mission Impossible, but I agree that it wasn't very good. I've never really liked Tom Cruise much as an actor - I think he comes across as the same character in every movie he's in.

Can't comment on the third one because I never saw it.

Shawshank Redemption - YES!!! One of my favorite movies of all time. Morgan Freeman is perfect in that role.

Nope, Nope, Nope.

Cool Hand Luke is a better prison movie, and a better movie all around. I won't say you are wrong. Perhaps you just forgot about Luke?

How could "Plan 9 from outer space" not be the top bad movie? It's so bad that it's fun to watch. Have to agree with hoosierboy on Cool Hand Luke, and you would know that if "you got your mind right" I have that DVD me and the kids have watched it many times. Shawshank is a great movie.

Hi Rita. Found you through HB.

Gotta agree with you re: Morgan Freeman. I became a fan of "the Count" at about age 5:

I ticked my husband off by watching him (again) in Driving Miss Daisy last weekend. (It's ok though - HE can watch somethin' else, on the big screen downstairs.)

Jeff: You may be right about Mission: Impossible, I seem to recall being forced to go to Escape from New York or one of those Escape movies that I couldn't believe was even made.

HB & C&C: Uhhh, NO, I guess I didn't forget about Cool Hand Luke, but that is just a pure guy film. I don't believe I have ever seen Paul Newman in anything that didn't make me want to change the channel. His movies just bore me silly. So, see that part where I am right and you are wrong.

Freddie: Thx for coming by. I can't believe you have a husband who wouldn't watch Driving Miss Daisy. Luckily I'm married to a guy that loves chick flicks, but I never tell him they are chick flicks, so C&C DO NOT let him in on that little secret.

He'll watch American President over and over with me. We love the movie, even if I do get sick of the over the top liberal message of the show. He also loves The Notebook too.

Green Mile is another of our favorites. Stephen King does it best when he writes non-scary stories, although I still love The Shining.
