The Best Sitcom

I refuse, and I do mean REFUSE to post about the latest Hollywood meltdown.  But since the idiot claimed that he was the best sitcom ever, I wondered what your favorite might be.

I have to say Frasier made me laugh nearly EVERY episode.  The combination of Frasier, Niles and their father was just classic.  Martin reminded me so much of my Grandpa Cissell.

Next is a new one.  I really love Big Bang Theory.

Even though not technically labeled a sitcom, we would laugh hysterically at Boston Legal.  You had to get to know the characters, but once you did, no one did it better than William Shatner in that role.

Entertaining was The Golden Girls, Cheers, and Seinfeld.

I'm sure I'll think of others.  I'll add them to the post as I think of them.

I'm just too tired to post serious stuff with the new job.  So much to learn, getting used to new people (everyone seems to be great) and learning a new industry and dealing with a start up company and missing my old friends and comfort zone.

Which reminds me of another one.  The Office.  I never regularly watched it, but I lived it the last four years.  The Office could never write an episode that came anywhere near the environment I worked in because no one would believe it.  But the great people far outweighed the crazies and it was always entertaining to listen to someone else having a discussion with the handful of crazies when I was not having to participate.  There were just too many funny non-pc stories not to tell.

Soon, my friends, I'll tell them soon.  When I'm not so tired.

Not big on comedies; the humor usually leaves me flat...

But, that said, I love Home Improvement and a show that wasn't around like called Sports Night. Great ensembles, great writing, and jokes that weren't insulting or going for the lowest possible denominator...

Glad you got through the week okay.

Cheers hands down is my all-time favorite, especially the older episodes (they are all old, but you know what I mean).

I also found Malcolm in the Middle funny. I am no tsure if it could be considered a sitcom, but The Simpsons has maintained a record of excellent writing for almost twenty years.

For today's fare The Middle is hilarious. I think they secretly have filmed my family for a few of the episodes. Plus it is set in Indiana. Modern Family is good for laughs every week as well.

I like The Big Bang Theory, but often forget to watch it since it moved nights.

Two and a half men is really funny

Seinfeld, was my favorite but I do watch the office, it's great. South Park has no redeeming value but some of it cracks me up.

I hardly watch much TV these days, for various reasons, and I lived out of the country during the Cheers days. But I liked Becker, and Boston Legal, Seinfeld too.

Mark me down for Big Bang Theory and Modern Family. And for the by-gones I loved the stupidity of Married With Children...beyond even that my all time favorite sitcom dad was Archie Bunker...ah, those were the days...
