Sick of it

Another life lost too soon from cancer. Life is short people. Live it now! Hate that all I can seem to write about are people dying. And I realize my life has been touched less than some others. But it still sucks.

I believe that it is our place to live out the lives they couldn't. It is up to us to keep their names alive and not forget them.

I think we all wish that Rita.

I hear lately though that some scientists and doctors are very excited about new cancer cures coming soon. Three to 5 years they're predicting.

Imp. I heard a couple weeks ago about the lady that was given a huge dose of the measle vaccine which cured her cancer. She had some type of blood cancer and they tried the vaccine as a last resort.

If only.

Rita, this last decade or so, everyone I have heard about dying in the circle of people I know has been due to cancer. And I think "we Americans are better than this" It seems we've conquered bigger obstacles.

As IMP said, I've also seen some optimistic articles. I hope, because us baby boomers are at the gate now aren't we.

I'm all for what coffeepot said to. I'm the type to celebrate someone's life rather than grieve much. It's a matter of when and how for all of us.

I fear the words. I fear not taking the treatment, but only due to other people's opinion that I "should". I've also heard that doctor's die from cancer differently than their patients, because doctor's never choose the treatment. Either way, with all the years and all the money and all the deaths, this is the one thing there HAS to be an easy cure for, that no one has been able to force past the FDA.

The fact we all fear it, proves to me that if you're "cured", you probably didn't have it to begin with.

WHY is it still in existence?

Just saw my doc today. His daughter was just recently diagnosed with cancer. He does not yet know of what type of treatment she might need.

They found it from an appendectomy.
